A little history on the Cottage Loaf
The Cottage Loaf has been baking from its High Street premises in Fordingbridge since 19000.
Bread and cakes are still baked in the bakery behind the Fordingbridge shop.
Mike and Paula Penton the current owners, took over the ownership of the Bakery in September 2006.
Our staff have over 40 years experience in baking breads and cakes.
Baker and Owner, has been a baker for over 20 years. Mike trained as a baker after leaving school; He started out baking
bread but quickly developed a flair for making cakes.
Mike has been a bakery manager for several years and it was only natural that his drive and ambition would lead him to
owning his own bakery.
Mike's focus is in ensuring that the bread is baked to a consistently high standard and is keen to introduce some new
Barbera specialises in making all of the cakes and pastries. Like Mike she has been baking for over 20 years. You can smell
the wonderful aroma of Barbera's cakes being baked from the shop throughout the day.
